Bed Linen 101 Guide
Want to layer your bed like a pro? We’ve got you covered. Our handy guide will break it all down, from A to Zzzz.
A quilt cover with insert (doona) can be used with or without a top sheet thanks to its removable, washable cover. Don't forget to pick up an insert when you're buying a new quilt cover.
Style Tip: On warmer nights, fold your quilt cover + insert at the foot of the bed and use a lighter-weight quilt or coverlet instead.
Lighter in weight than a quilt cover + insert or a comforter, our stitched, American-style quilts (otherwise known as quilted bedspreads) are all machine washable.
Style Tip: Quilts are perfect for warmer months or as an extra layer in the winter.
Most of our sheets are sold in sets that include a fitted, flat and two standard pillowcases.
Style Tip: Choose a few sets in complementary colours so you can and match prints
Our standard pillow shams fit regular pillows (51 x 66 cm), king pillow shams are longer (51 x 91 cm) and euro pillow shams come in a square 66 cm size.
Style Tip: More decorative than a pillowcase, pillow shams usually open up in the centre so the pillow doesn't peak out.
Smaller than a quilt or blanket, throws are perfect for folding or tossing casually at the foot of the bed.
Style Tip: Keep a few in the living room, too - they make reading, napping and movie nights a little cosier.
